Position Summary:

The Associate Project Manager II supports the successful delivery of construction projects across multiple markets within an assigned Region or Division. This role applies Henkels & McCoy's (H&M) Project Management Methodology to assist in managing all phases of the project lifecycle, helping ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with client and organizational expectations.

 

Working under the guidance of a Senior Project Manager or Project Manager, the Associate Project Manager II provides project coordination and management support throughout planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout activities. The role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders to drive project success while maintaining compliance with H&M's safety, quality, and project management standards.

 

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of construction projects in accordance with H&M Project Management Methodology.
  • Assist Project Managers and Senior Project Managers with the coordination and management of project resources, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with functional project teams to resolve issues, coordinate activities, and ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Interface with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to support effective project communication and execution.
  • Assist in overseeing project financial activities, including project accounting, cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Monitor project risks and support the maintenance of the Risk Management Tool (RMT).
  • Partner with the Project Controls (PC) team to ensure risk budgets, risk allocations, and risk data remain accurate and up to date.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of project risk matrices by identifying emerging risks and documenting mitigation strategies.
  • Support the implementation of project management methodologies, tools, processes, and best practices across assigned projects.
  • Assist in the execution of project and program plans, ensuring adherence to established schedules, quality standards, and performance objectives.
  • Promote and uphold H&M safety, quality, and compliance requirements throughout all project phases.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment built on accountability, trust, transparency, and constructive communication.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant project management, construction, engineering, utility, or related industry experience.
  • General understanding of construction, utility, and infrastructure industry practices.
  • Familiarity with project scheduling concepts and exposure to Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
