Position Summary:
The Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring detailed project and program schedules for mid-sized construction initiatives within an assigned Region or Division. This role plays a critical part in supporting the successful execution of projects by ensuring alignment with Henkels & McCoy's Project Management Methodology (PMM) and maintaining adherence to safety and quality standards.

 

The Scheduler will collaborate with project managers, engineers, field teams, and clients to drive schedule accuracy, forecast critical path items, and contribute to timely project completion.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage resource- and cost-loaded project schedules for construction and installation activities using recognized industry software (e.g., Primavera P6).

  • Perform critical path method (CPM) analysis, identify schedule risks, and develop mitigation or recovery plans, including “what-if” scenarios.

  • Gather and coordinate project input from internal teams and subcontractors to build and update integrated master schedules.

  • Monitor schedule performance, produce progress reports and status updates, and track variances against baseline schedules.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across project and program teams to ensure real-time visibility into schedule impacts and required adjustments.

  • Ensure compliance with H&M’s Project Management Methodology (PMM), scheduling standards, and customer-specific requirements.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of company-wide scheduling best practices and guidelines.

  • Interface with clients, project teams, and senior leadership to communicate schedule status, forecasts, and performance metrics.

  • Analyze schedule impacts caused by changes, delays, or disruptions, distinguishing between contractor and client-driven changes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field – or equivalent practical experience.

  • Minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience in construction project scheduling.

  • Strong working knowledge of Critical Path scheduling tools, preferably Primavera P6, and familiarity with linear scheduling software.

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with advanced Excel capabilities.

  • Experience developing and analyzing resource-loaded schedules in a fast-paced construction environment.

  • Familiarity with utility infrastructure, power delivery, or large-scale infrastructure projects is a plus.

  • Completion of H&M Project Management Methodology (PMM) training or related formal project management coursework.
