We are looking for a Construction Manager to join our team in Kapolei, HI.

The Construction Manager provides project-related management for small to mid-scale construction projects across various markets within an assigned region or division, and is responsible for utilizing H&M's Project Management Methodology to manage all phases of the construction project lifecycle, while being accountable for all aspects of each project's success. This position provides direct support to other functional project teams in the planning and execution of the job including resolving issues, managing resources, coordinating projects, interfacing with client representatives, overseeing project accounting, training, mentoring and coaching. Additionally, this role is responsible for managing third party resources and overall project performance. The Project Manager II serves a single-point contact and ensures compliance with the Henkels & McCoy established Project Management Methodology, upholding H&M safety and quality management protocols.

 

The Construction Manager is the primary point of contact with the customer for the contracts assigned to them. This position is responsible for driving the overall operational performance of the contract. Additionally, responsible for ensuring all customer contract requirements are met and that projects meet or exceed all performance targets.

Responsibilities

Requirements:

 

  • Work directly with the clients Project Manager to develop a work plan for each day’s activity.
  • Work directly with Henkels crew to develop Job Hazard Analysis for each day.
  • Have at least 10 years’ experience in pipeline construction and fabrication in the Oil & Gas Industry.
  • Submit daily progress reports.
  • Submit daily time sheets for the crew.
  • Be able the set up job task in a safe manner to prevent workers from being injured.
  • Understand safe trenching and shoring.
  • Understand crane operations and rigging.
  • Direct crews to set up traffic control.
  • Direct the crews on how to set up a double joint rack safely.
  • Direct crews on how to set up large diameter pipe safely.
  • Direct crews on how to load and unload pipe onto a trailer safely.
  • This position require that you know all areas of pipeline construction & fabrication and how to do it efficiently and safely.
  • Work with client on scheduling and setting up crews for the final tie and blinding procedures.
  • Understand and provide schedules for the client during the phases of the project.

Qualifications

  • Requires effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong computer literacy.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to multi-task are essential.
  • Must be a self-starter and have the ability to organize and prioritize work.
  • Demonstrated business acumen, customer focus and drive for results.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and experience managing large projects within construction and utility industries.
  • PMP Certification is a plus.

Wage Range: 

$105,400 - $158,100/annually
